Chloe Preston colour-printed lithograph for The Peek-a-Boos' Holiday, written by her brother, Tom Preston, and published in London circa 1912.

Chloe Preston was born in 1887 and grew up in a gentrified English country environment. Illustrations for her first book "The Peek-a-Boos", were published in London in 1910.  The clear simple outlines and bright colours of her humorous images portray simple excursions and activities that everyone can relate to and enjoy.

Unfortunately this print has a vertical tear at base and small tear at right (repaired with conservation tape). Still no distraction from this wonderful happy scene. Print size 215 x 330mm (8.5 x 13 inches)
