Original steel engraving by Lebel of a Second Class Private Hotel at No. 17, Rue de Vanneau, designed by French architect Monsieur E. Petit. Published in Paris circa 1864 by Cesar Daly (1811-94) for L’Architecture Privée au XIX siecle sous Napoleon - Nouvelles Maisons de Paris (Private Architecture of 19th century under Napoleon - New Residences of Paris). The elegant border and title emphasize the subject matter and period of this fine architectural study.

The plate mark is almost to the full size of the page. Fine later hand-colour. Page size is 305 x 390mm (12 x 15 3/8 inches).
