Rare antique print of Australian Bronze-winged Pigeon c1789, engraved by Peter Mazell after Ann Latham (1772-1835), (daughter of English ornithologist John Latham (1740-1837)). 

Hand-coloured original copperplate engraving for “Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay; with an Account of the Establishment of the Colonies of Port Jackson & Norfolk Island” printed in London circa 1789 by John Stockdale.

This engraving has fine later hand-colour. There is a vertical fold through this page to accommodate a small publication size, and also slight paper expansion from printing press. Approximate page size: 295mm x 220mm (11.5/8 x 8.7/8 inches). To plate mark: 260 x 190 (10.1/4 x 7.1/2 inches).
