Rare antique print of Australian Bronze-winged Pigeon c1789, engraved by Peter Mazell after Ann Latham (1772-1835), (daughter of English ornithologist John Latham (1740-1837)). 

Hand-coloured original copperplate engraving for “Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay; with an Account of the Establishment of the Colonies of Port Jackson & Norfolk Island” printed in London circa 1789 by John Stockdale.

This engraving has fine later hand-colour. There is a vertical fold through this page to accommodate a small publication size, and also slight paper expansion from printing press. (The image is not the actual engraving. This image is from the larger edition which is also available but costs a little more.)
