Finely engraved by Pauquet, with contemporary colour, for Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux Exotiques (Natural History of Exotic Birds) by Florent Prevost. Published in Paris in 1836 by Charles Lemaire. The image is nicely finished by a surrounding fine border line.

Page size 220 x 135 mm (8 5/8 x 5 ¼ inches) To border measures 165 x 95mm (6 7/16 x 3 ¼ inches). This engraving is rather badly foxed and has been priced accordingly.
