Original copperplate engraving by draughtsman, etcher, line and aquatint engraver Francis Chesham (1749-1806) from a drawing by Charles Catton (1756-1819) for The English Peerage published in London circa 1790. Published on hand-laid paper from the period, this small coat of arms has fine later hand-colour that certainly adds to its appeal.

Printed on half a page, this small engraving has been separated and mounted between 'antique white' ragmat conservation board, and cellophaned for protection. Image within window is105 mm x 175 mm (4 x 7 inches). External mount for framing window is approximately 22 x 29cm (8 5/8 x 11 3/8 inches).
