19th century Louvre reproduction of an elegant Horse Head drawing circa 1433-1438 by one of the most distinguished artists of the early Renaissance, Antonio Pisanello (known as Antonio di Puccio Pisano) (Pisa 1395-Rome?1455) first published in Milan by Giuseppi Vallardi (1794-1863).
The fine black etched (watermarked) light-brown paper (not pink as in the scan), is attached at the top to a cream-coloured thick paper backing with black borders.
The etching measures 23 x 18cm (9 x 7 inches). Page size is 375 x 270mm (14.75 x 10.75 inches)
