Antique print of Staffordshire Bull Terrier Bulldog, hand-coloured.

Original wood engraving, engraved by Carl Gottlieb Specht (1846-1898) from the drawing by his brother, Friedrich Specht (1839-1909). Specht had his first exhibition at Stuttgart Art Academy, and was natural history artist for a large number of zoological publications.

This is a small engraving that was published with text above and below it. It has lovely detail, nicely highlighted by the hand-colour. Engraving measures 10 x 13cm (approximately 4 x 5 inches).
