Antique Print of New South Wales Shark c1789 - with at least ten or eleven rows of forward teeth...  

Original copperplate engraving after Peter Mazell, for "The Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay with an account of the Establishment of the Colonies of Port Jackson and Norfolk Island" published in London by John Stockdale of Piccadilly in 1789 (later hand-colour). Though recorded earliler, this was the first time this shark had been illustrated and described.

Engraved page size is 300 x 225mm (11.5 x 8.5 inches). There is a slight bend in top left corner of page.
