Small antique print. Bo-mur-ra Cam-mer-ral, named Potatoe Apple-Fruit by early European settlers. Below, is the Potatoe Apple-Fruit Flower.) One of 18 small hand-coloured engravings - among the earliest of Australian flora.

Original copperplate engraving c1799 with contemporary hand-colour from the Naturalist's Pocket Magazine; or, Compleat Cabinet of Curiosities and Beauties of Nature, containing elegant coloured prints of birds, fishes, flowers, insects, quadrupeds, shells, and other natural productions..." We were lucky to find this small book (with pages adrift and coverless). It was 1 of 8 small anonymously compiled books, published together in London between 1798 and 1802 by Harrison, Cluse & Co. of No.78 Fleet Street, and from 1800, No.108 Newgate Street.

This engraving has faint age-discolouration and print offset from adjacent page. The page measures 150 x 85mm (approximately 6 x 3 3/8 inches). The accompanying 3+ pages of text are available.
