Original hand-coloured lithograph for naturhistorische bilder-Gallerie aus dem ?Thierreiche (Natural History Gallery of the Animal Kingdom) published in Switzerland c1860 by lithographer, printer, bookseller, Joseph Brodtmann (1787-1862). Brodtmann was born in German but moved to Switzerland for work and remained there the rest of his life.

This is a lovely little print, mounted between 'antique white' rag mat conservation board (half-framed), and covered with cellophane for presentation and also for protective handling.

Window size is 120 x 160mm (approx. 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches). External measurement for frame window is 262 x 302mm (10 3/8 x 11 5/8 inches).
