Finely detailed antique map, drawn and engraved on steel by Joshua Archer (c1792-1863) for the College Atlas published in London circa 1850 by H.G. Collins of 22 Paternoster Row. Mapmaker, J. Archer, Pentonville, London, specialised in engraving up-to-date county maps of Britain, and flourished as a cartographer, engraver, and printer between 1833 and 1866.

This map has extremity soiling, particularly at right end of central horizontal fold (that accommodated a publication half its size). Page size is 375 x 270mm (14 3/4 x 10 5/8 inches). To the map border measures 285 x 233mm (11 1/4 x 9 1/8 inches).
