Antique Map of Berkshire with interesting historical text. The Royal County of Berkshire, where Windsor Castle is to be found.

Late 18th century county map of Berkshire from the Supplement to the Antiquities of England and Wales by Francis Grose Esq F.R.S. published in London between 1773 and 1787.

Francis Grose retouched the plates that John Seller used in his Anglia Contracta (published in London circa 1697). Seller created larger engraved plates from the small county maps from John Speed's pocket atlas circa 1676.

This map appears above interesting historical information of the County (which continues on the rear). It was printed over 200 years ago on heavy grade hand-made paper. Map size is 125 x 150mm (5 x 6 inches). Page size is 320 x 240mm (12.5 x 9.5 inches).
