Russia Antique Map. Russia in Europe by Alex. Findlay & W. Tegg.

Original map engraved on steel (with contemporary outlining to landmasses, and colour to ocean) by well-known mapmaker Alexander Findlay for his “Modern Atlas” published in London circa 1853 by William Tegg & Co.

This is obviously from a well-loved publication! There is writing "Russia in Europe" on the reverse in Indian ink, fortunately not showing through to front. Otherwise, slight soiling to front, which does not detract from a quite attractive map.
