Original map engraved on steel by Rainaud with lettering by Varinot after the drawing of Moureaux, for geographer Alexandre Vuillemin (1812-1880). Published in Paris circa1880 for "La France".

This map is wonderfully engraved to show the region around Paris. With the map is the accompanying text with abridged history of Paris, its administrative divisions, and information on all the Paris arrondissements at the time of publication.

Double page size of the map is 390mm x 290mm (with central vertical fold). Printed in soft colour to accentuate the regions shown on the map.
