Original small map of Holland & Belgium. Drawn and engraved in London by F.P. Becker circa 1810-30 for Becker’s Omnigraph Atlas of Modern Geography published in London in 1830. The fine hand-colour would have been done at some time since publication, but it certainly enhances this map.

This Low Countries antique map was drawn and engraved by the omnigraph by Francis Paul Becker & Company, Patentees of the omnigraph process. The omnigraph of F.P. Becker & Co. was a machine that produced steel engraved plates with an intaglio impression (an indentation from the pressure of the external edge of the plate during the printing process).

Size of map is 215 x 280mm (11 x 8.1/2 inches).
