Fine antique map of Italy circa 1855 by Queen’s geographer, Alexander Keith Johnston, F.R.S.E. (1804-1871), (Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh). 

Original antique map Engraved, Printed and Published by W. & A.K. Johnston, Edinburgh & London, for Johnston's "General Atlas" circa 1855, with additional fine hand-colour that emphasizes the very detailed geography of this map.

Unfortunately, this map is too large to fit the scanner. If you would like further images of the edges of map, please let us know. There is inevitable slight age-discolouration along the edges of the paper, and slight weakness (reinforced with conservation tape) at the left-hand end of central horizontal fold, but it is a very fine map.
