Original small map engraved on steel by Blanchard from a drawing by Aristede-Michel Perrot for a decorative series of French departmental maps showing the regional produce and industries of France, with finely engraved illustrations surrounding each map.

This lovely little map has been framed with Kensington black-edged dark burr walnut-veneered moulding around 'antique white' conservation ragmat board, with a surrounding gold line highlighting the lovely little map - with deer head above and steer below, behind one of the many beautiful waterfalls in the Lozere Department of France. 

The map size is 15 x 10cm (6 x 4 inches). External frame is approximately 315 x 265mm (approx. 32 x 10.5 inches).
