Antique Map of Southern South America, by W & AK Johnston c1886

This map, showing the British, French Spanish and Dutch administrations of the islands, and the submarine telegraph lines,was published by W and A.K. Johnston in Edinburgh c1886 and reissued several times over the following years. Partly printed in colour, it is a decorative map, and would look great framed.

 Unfortunately our scanner is not quite large enough for the full image to the border. We show the upper part, but the tip of South America is shown, with islands. There are also full margins, as published. If you would like another image, please email sales@antiqueprintclub.com 

The map on the reverse is West India Islands and Central America. Due to system limitations we can only show the main side here, so this map is listed separately.
