Antique map of south-eastern Australia with insets of Sydney and Adelaide c1874. This map extends from Hervey Bay in Queensland to Cape Nuyts and Fowlers Bay in South Australia, and Tasmania "oder Van Diemen's Land discovered 1642". Inset of Sydney shows streets from Darling Harbour to Wooloomooloo, and Inset of Adelaide region shows Spencer Gulf, St Vincent Gulf, Encounter Bay and Kangaroo Island in South Australia. Most of the wording and place names are in English.

Original lithograph by F. Eitner, with contemporary country and state outlining by pen, and water colour-printed. Published in Glogau circa 1874 by Carl Flemming who founded an important German publishing house in Berlin and Glogau (now Poland). Geographical detail and discoveries are as recorded by eminent English geographer and cartographer, John Arrowsmith (1780-1873) who was from an English family of geographers, and joined his uncle Aaron Arrowsmith's London mapmaking business in 1810.
