Geography is highlighted by hachures for mountain ranges. Published in London circa 1887.   Antique map with Railways, Forests, Telegraph Lines, Chief Lighthouses, Canals. Tributary States are encircled with the colour of the Governorship to which they belong. British Territory fully tinted, Native States are encircled with other colours, French Possessions underlined, Portuguese Possessions, Goa, Boundaries of Districts, Madras (Government), Bombay (Government), Coorg (under Gov. General).

Aged paper, with foxing spot at top and extremity damage at lower edge. Otherwise this map is in good condition. Page measures 360 x 435mm (14 1/8 x 17 1/8 inches). The page is complete, with large margins around the border, as issued.
