Original antique map engraved by the Omnigraph by Francis Paul Becker and Company, Patentees circa 1850 for a small atlas. Country outlining is contemporary to publication date, but the  complimentary faint wash to the land masses within the outlines has been done since publication. The map extends through a break in the border at the base (which I think adds charm to the map).

This decorative map has slight soiling (as is regularly found with Becker's maps, but otherwise it is in fair condition, with narrow margins around map border as published  (particularly narrow at left.) Size of map 8.5 x 9.5 inches or 22 x 24cm
