Original antique map drawn by Antoine-Remy Frémin and engraved on steel by S. Jacob for printing by Fosset for Géographe Moderne (Modern Geography), published in Paris c1870 with contemporary colour-printing. Showing north-west region as Russian America and Canada is named New Britain.

In fine condition except for a little age-discolouration around the edge of the paper, to map border measures 22 x 30cm (8 5/8 x 11 3/4 inches). Page size is 28 x 38cm (11 x 15 inches).
