Hardback covered in pictorial brown cloth blocked in gilt and subtle colours – both on front cover and spine, and at base of spine a small gilt cricketer in front of wicket with ball held aloft. Slightly rubbed at edges and spine. Edges of pages age-soiled otherwise mainly clean throughout except for occasional foxing.

Grace, Mike (R.A.H. ) Mitchell, and Fred Gale on. 429 pages, including 11 full-page engravings and photographic illustrations, and 51 woodcut illustrations within the text on the history of cricket, batting, bowling, captaincy, umpires, fielding… the art of training young players, gentlemen and players,… and a whole chapter on The Australians. An entrancing little book.
