Antique Print of Australian Vulpine Possum or Vulpine Phalanger.
Original copperplate engraving from "The Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay with an account of the Establishment of the Colonies of Port Jackson and Norfolk Island" published in London for John Stockdale of Piccadilly circa 1790.
This engraving would have been published in black and white. The later hand-tining with watercolour has been very well done, and certainly adds to the appeal of the image.
