This beautiful print with its high quality finish, was faithfully reproduced from an antique hand-coloured lithograph circa 1833 by Edward Lear. This print is from a portfolio of Lear's Parrots, produced from the originals in the library of the Linnean Society in London. The Family of Psittacidae (Parrot Family) is a wonderful series of parrot portraits by the famous illustrator Edward Lear (1812-88) who was passionate about parrots and once said that if there was such a thing as reincarnation he was sure he'd return as a parrot.
