Geology, Plate 3: Original copperplate engraving (with later hand-colour) of several examples of different types of strata of the earth, published between 1812 and 1820 by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme & Brown of Paternoster Row, London for “The Cyclopaedia; or, Universal Dictionary of Arts, Sciences and Literature” by Abraham Rees. This enormous work, completed in the early 19th century; consisted of seven volumes with wonderful illustrations of over 240 copperplate engravings in each volume.
