This map, together with the map of Western Hemisphere, would be the most decorative pair of hemisphere maps ever printed. Among the last decorative maps published, Tallis maps were adorned with small vignette views depicting the cities, native fauna or people of the area. This pair of maps has engraved subjects completely surrounding each sphere, separated and further adorned by the intertwining of vines.
