Dust Jacket is slightly rubbed along the edges, spine faded, and foxing on inner flaps. Blue cloth hardcover with gilt title on cover and spine. Some slight foxing throughout, particularly of end pages, though pages themselves have not discoloured by age. Slight foxing also to extremities of pages. Despite this, the book is quite crisp and unmarked.

The format of the book is very easy to follow, set out as a glossary; with advice aiding the identification and period for English antique clocks; a guide to clocks by Tompion which were numbered from 1685 to 1714; and a summary of Crowned Heads of England, and French Kings and French Clock Styles.
