Melbourne Exhibition Building. This very beautifully embellished colonial building in a central Melbourne park has been preserved and is still in use today.
This is a reproduction, printed in colour from a hand-coloured wood engraving originally published for the “Picturesque Atlas of Australasia” between 1886-1889 (and reissued in 1892). This grand publication was compiled to commemorate the centenary of settlement in Australia (1788). We have many views of cities, towns, buildings, and general subjects showing the discovery, early settlement and the development of Australia, New Zealand and the adjacent islands. The size of this view is approximately 6.1/2”x 11” or 16 x 28cm Price: $4.40 (AUD) inc GST |
