Antique Map of Europe showing the general direction of the Barbarian Inroads on the Fall of the Roman Empire.
This map has a wonderful lot of information with directional arrows across the regions. It was published by W. and A.K. Johnston in Edinburgh circa 1886 and reissued several times over the following years. Partly printed in colour, it is a decorative map, and would look great framed. To our knowledge this is the first year any atlas was printed with maps on both sides. The reverse has three related maps, so if you're interested in the Roman Empire period, I'm sure you would love it! They are titled "Imperium Romanum jam latissime patens A.D.98-117", "Imperium Romanorum in Orientale et Occidentale jam divisum", and "Imperium Romanorum Occidentali parte jam eversa". Due to system limitations we can only show the main side here, so this map is listed separately. Page size is 14.1/2” x 19.” or ( 37 x 48cm) Price: $121.00 (AUD) inc GST |
