This lovely Tallis map of South Australia with finely-engraved border and small scenes, is one of only 500 prints reproduced from a finely-detailed and intricately engraved map, originally published for Tallis's General Atlas circa 1851-3.

All their maps were adorned by decorative borders and vignettes of cities, native fauna or people of the region. This map is black and white. It is also available (listed below) with the small decorative engravings hand-tinted with watercolour. Map size: 36 x 28cm (11 x 14 inches). Price: $11.00 (AUD) inc GST |
