Antique Print of Edward Pellew who became first Baron Exmouth when the peerage title was created for him in 1816, in recognition of his services as a prominent naval commander.

This exquisitely engraved fine portrait was published for a series on Naval Battles & Portraits, published by Tallis & Co circa 1856. An original steel engraving for the famous Tallis publishing house, who by the time of publication had become the London Printing & Publishing Company.

The colour has been added at a later date as this publication was issued in black & white. Page size: : 27 x 18cm (10.6 x 7 inches).
