Original fine steel engraving by the prominent English topographical artist and engraver, James Charles Armytage (1802-1897) from the drawing by James Howe Carr (c1818-c1871).  J.C. Armytage did not come to Australia. He draughted scenes from paintings, photographs and sketches by others who had been to the colonies of Australia. Armytage dis ome of his finest engravings for Australia Illustrated by Edward Carton Booth, published in London in 1874.

This engraving has later hand-colour. It is in good condition, with wide borders outside the shown image. Page measures 210 x 270mm (8 1/4 x 10 5/8 inches). The size of this image is 120cm x 203cm (approximately 4 7/8 x 8 inches).
