Lovely antique print of Blackpool looking from the water towards the buildings along the ridge above.

Original steel engraving by by one of the finest English topographical artists and engravers James Charles Armytage (1802-1897) from a drawing on the spot by one of the foremost illustrators of topography of his time, William Henry Bartlett (1809-1854), for "The Ports, Harbours, Watering-Places and Coast Scenery of Great Britain", for William Finden (1787-1852), and Edward Finden (1791-1857). London: Published for the Proprietors by George Virtue circa 1840.

The page is slightly age-discoloured, but the fine later hand-colour distracts from the condition. Price has nevertheless been reduced. Approximate measurement: image, 122 x 172mm (4.3/4 x 6.3/4 inches), and page, 207 x 274mm (8.1/8 x 10.7/8 inches).
