Far from common antique print of a Porcupine circa 1805.

Hand-coloured  copperplate engraving published for  “Zoological Lectures” delivered at the Royal Institution in London by George Shaw at the beginning of the 19th century. Most of this series of engravings were by Mr Griffiths and his assistants.

This engraving has beautiful hand-colour. The size of each image is 13 x 23cm (5 x 9 inches). External mounted size 25 x 33 cm (10 x 13 inches).
