Original hand-coloured copperplate engraving by R.P. Nodder for Naturalist's Miscellany by George Shaw, published in London circa 1814. Richard Polydore Nodder (17714-1823) was artist to King George III. His finely coloured and engraved nature studies are scientifically accurate and eminently collectable. His Australian subjects are rarely found today.

This is a lovely butterfly. This antique print is in good condition and measures approximately 23 x 13cm (9 x 5 inches).
