Original copperplate engraved map by B. Cole, and published in London circa 1760 by bookseller and publisher, Stanley Crowder. Benjamin Cole (1695-1754) was an English surveyor, cartographer, instrument maker, engraver, and bookbinder of Oxford. This map has later fine hand-colour.

To the border, the map measures 135 x 145mm (5.3/8 x 5 5/8 inches). Page size is 195 x 180mm (7 5/8 x 7 inches), with vertical fold to accommodate a smaller publication.The map is on good strong paper and in good condition except for a small conservation repair at top right.
