Antique map of Africa by Charles Monin for his Atlas Classique de la Geographie (Classic Atlas of Geography), published in Paris by Binet at Rue Aubry le Boucher, 34.

This is an interesting map of Western Africa. Engraved and published c1845 with fine later hand-colour.

To the engraved border this map measures 190 x 245mm (7.5 x 9.5 inches). The intaglio impression (plate mark) is almost at the edge of the page, at 235 x 275mm (9.25 x 10.75 inches). The page measures 250 x 310mm.
